Signing a contract
It’s a pretty exciting moment when you sign with an agency that you get a good feeling about, but you want to take it slowly. Read anything you’re about to sign at least twice just to be sure that you’re happy with it.
You also want to make sure that there is an exit clause that allows both you or the agency to terminate the agreement at any time. This is standard practice and an essential part of any agreement that protects both parties.
Pay attention to your finances
Everyone needs to pay taxes so you really need to keep on top of that. While some clients will deduct P.A.Y.G. tax from your payment, not all of them will. It’s your responsibility to make sure that you’re 100% tax compliant at all times.
